What You’ll Get from Every ATS Message and Radar Trailer
While each ATS trailer has its own unique features to help you tackle different challenges, there are several benefits that all ATS trailers have in common. Every ATS trailer is made from a continuous weld steel frame with a marine-grade powder coat finish, meaning that your trailer can withstand heavy rain, snow, ice, and extreme temperatures without rusting.
All Traffic Solutions’ trailers also come with recessed tail lights and DOT-approved lighting. There are optional add-on red and blue LED lights available to capture drivers’ attention quickly and makes the trailer harder to ignore. With every ATS trailer, you’ll find that there is no-hassle transport, that way you can move your trailer where it needs to go.
Unique Features from the ATS Message and Radar Trailer Line
ATS 5 Trailer
The ATS 5 is our most popular trailer. It is most commonly used with SpeedAlert 24 radar message signs or InstAlert 24 variable message signs. These signs, combined with the ATS 5 trailer, can help safely grab the attention of drivers and pedestrians to positively influence driving behavior and share important information.
With a SpeedAlert radar message sign, you can have speed-dependent messaging, which displays different messages to drivers depending on how fast they are going. For drivers going the speed limit, they could see a message that says “THANK YOU FOR DRIVING SAFELY!” For drivers that are going slightly above the speed limit, the message “SLOW DOWN” could appear. For drivers that are going well past the speed limit, you could have “TOO FAST SLOW DOWN.” If you want to quickly grab the attention of those drivers traveling at high-risk speeds, you can program red and blue LED lights— which are attached to the top of the trailer— to flash.
With a variable message sign, you can use your traffic trailer to communicate with the public. Whether that’s telling drivers to “PREPARE TO STOP”, reminding them to wear a seatbelt or other safe driving reminders, and event parking and entrance information.

ATS 5 Trailer with ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition)
The ALPR-ready ATS 5 trailer has all the same features our customers love about the ATS 5, with the addition of the ability to attach an Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) camera. Once your ALPR camera is installed, this trailer can automatically capture the license plates of passing vehicles, in addition to reducing speeding, conducting traffic studies, and sharing information.
This technology can help cover major access points for wanted vehicles, conduct crime and convoy analysis, capture license plates of speeding vehicles, and assist in missing person searches. When ordering an ATS 5 trailer with ALPR, you can get the trailer with an ALPR camera already installed or ALPR-ready to attach your own ALPR camera (contact your local Territory Manager to learn about which ALPR cameras are compatible).
If you purchase an ATS 5 trailer with ALPR already installed, your trailer will be equipped with our high-quality camera with illumination so you can capture license plates day and night. The ATS 5 trailer with built-in ALPR has onboard processing that ensures high performance and an IP67-rated enclosure so the ALPR camera will stand up to the same rugged environments as the trailer. The reading distance and magnification of the camera can be adjusted on-site at the trailer.

ATS 3 Trailer
This ATS 3 message and radar trailer is designed for our radar speed signs and our smaller radar message signs, and variable message signs. The ATS 3 is the perfect trailer to reduce neighborhood speeding and help law enforcement prioritize enforcement. The ATS 3 trailer is more compact than the ATS 5 trailer. The ATS 3 mount can be rotated 360 degrees, meaning you can point your sign in whatever direction it needs to be in.
Since the traffic trailer can easily be towed, you don’t have to worry about installing a permanent post to keep the sign-up in the community. This allows for a fast response to neighborhood speeding complaints and more flexibility in terms of where the signs can be deployed. Also, the ATS 3’s 360-degree mount means it is easy to slow down drivers in either direction of traffic.
Power Options for ATS 3 Trailer
With this new trailer releasing, we also have a new power supply for the ATS 3! The ATS 3 is powered by Integrated Solar, so solar power is continuously powering the batteries in the sign. The ATS 3 doesn’t have a power box, which makes it more agile and easier to move. Depending on the type of sign, the number of batteries, and the usage, the signs on the ATS 3 can last for a few days without recharging from solar. So don’t worry if you have a few cloudy days – your ATS 3 will still help reduce speeding even when the sun isn’t out.

With our online data and device management portal, TraffiCloud, you can view all the information about your devices at a glance, and their location with the interactive map. You can remotely change messages, and set the timeframes for when those messages will appear. TraffiCloud also allows you to download and share data and reports that are collected from your All Traffic Solutions signs. Get notifications by setting alerts for high speeding, low batteries, and tampering.
To further collaborate with your department, you can customize which user gets alerts for different kinds of notifications. You can also easily share reports and data through email delivery to whoever needs to see them – even if they aren’t a user on TraffiCloud.
