April 24, 2006: Bluetooth ®

All Traffic Solutions Announces the Addition of Bluetooth ® Technology to Traffic Calming Product “SPEEDsentry ®”. User Safety, Equipment Setup and Monitoring, and Data Acquisition Greatly Enhanced.

Members of law enforcement, public works, safety management, and other industries can now experience improved capabilities and convenience with All Traffic Solutions (ATS) traffic calming tools. ATS recently augmented product features with wireless Bluetooth® technology, giving users a wealth of key benefits.

User Safety & CONVENIENCE :

With the need for a physical computer-to-sign connection eliminated, users can now communicate with equipment wirelessly from the safety of their vehicles.

Financial Savings :

Radar speed signs and variable message signs can now be programmed via an affordable PDA versus a costly laptop computer.

MORE EFFECTIVE SIGNS:

Adjustments can be made more easily than ever before. Users can fine-tune radar sensitivity by driving toward signs, viewing the displayed message and modifying the sensitivity until the desired effect is achieved.

FASTER DATA DOWNLOADS:

File sizes are kept to a minimum, so useful data can be downloaded to a PDA rapidly and routinely. The data can then be transferred to a PC using ATS client-based software. Easy-to-use reports and analyses are also available through the additional ATS WebEmpowered™ option.

According to Scott Johnson, vice president of ATS parent company Intuitive Control Systems, LLC, customers are gaining new ways to better manage their resources. The feature can be added to existing equipment, or is available with new installations.

“The convenience of Bluetooth® technology can result in a significant savings in the time required to set up and utilize the products. Along these same lines, it is truly exciting to learn how our clients are using the data acquired to manage their overall strategies,” Johnson explained. “The ability to view statistics allows leaders to properly allocate staff, relocate signs as appropriate and make other changes quickly. Law enforcement agencies, for instance, can identify troublesome areas and target those locations for increased officer presence.”

Intuitive Controls Systems President Ted Graef commented, “Ultimately, it's about safety, a mission we all can agree as worthy of the best practices available. It is our responsibility to maximize new and emerging technologies in order to make our roadways safer.”
