All Traffic Solutions Announces NASRO Scholarship Program and Traffic Safety Grant Opportunity
All Traffic Solutions realizes that School Resource Officers and Administrators
are responsible for many aspects of school safety including violence,
bullying, security, emergency plans and improving child pedestrian safety
in school zones.
There are very few more worthwhile places for traffic calming than around our schools. Children aren’t always aware of the risks around them and these areas typically have lots of activity at varying hours leading to unusual traffic patterns. Our radar speed displays and variable message signs improve driver awareness and help keep traffic moving smoothly by communicating clearly with the public.
Your membership in National Association of School Resource Officers underscores your dedication to protect the faculty and students in your schools and your desire to promote a positive image within your communities.
However, due to shrinking budgets, spending constraints and heavier workloads, some of you will have to put off your attendance at this year’s NASRO Conference being held June 28th – July 3rd in Baltimore, MD. Additionally, your capacity to purchase equipment to reduce speeding in school zones may have been delayed.
We want to help! All Traffic Solutions is proud to sponsor NASRO by donating the funds to cover registration fees for one pair. This pair MUST consist of a SRO and an Administrator. Applicants MUST also be members of NASRO.
To take advantage of this opportunity complete the application and return to the attention of Lori Miles. The deadline to apply is June 1, 2009. All Traffic Solutions will notify the winning pair no later than Friday, June 5th.
More importantly, All Traffic Solutions is introducing our own grant program that will award school districts traffic calming equipment based on their safety plan submissions to effectively address school zone speeding related injury or fatality incidents.
