speedALERT®

Record a speed. Deliver the right message.

When you need to impact high risk drivers in a big way and you have a frequent need to deliver an important message, choose the speedALERT. By delivering a message consisting of up to three screens, you can target messages to individual drivers. In addition, you can remove the component variable message sign and radar speed display so each can be used separately.

  • Flexible: This configuration can be pole or trailer mounted and is perfect for school zones, campuses or anywhere a more significant impact is required.
  • Speed Display: 24" digits provide large feedback for bigger or busier roads.
  • Messaging: Full matrix display provides 1, 2, or 3 lines of text or full graphics capability.
  • Speed-Dependent Messaging: You may want compliant traffic to know the festival starts at 8 PM but you may want violators to know there is an officer ahead. Automatically vary the message delivered depending on the speed.
  • Simple Programming: All sign functions are accessed easily using a PC or wireless PDA.
  • Upgradeable: speedALERT is fully upgradeable to new options and can integrate easily with other products and services provided by All Traffic Solutions. Ask about how our PremierCare program can protect you even further.

Speed-Dependent Messaging: The SPEEDsentry and instALERT work together to deliver one of 5 messages specific to driver speed.

Maximize Your Investment:You get the benefit of dynamic speed information plus the larger, full matrix message sign when your SPEEDsentry communicates wirelessly with the instALERT. Both signs can still be used independently or removed from the trailer to mount on a pole or hitch mount.

Wireless Link:The signs only need to be near each other for them to work together seamlessly. No communication cables are required since both have Bluetooth® management systems.

instALERT:The message screens will display speed information or any other multi-screen message you choose. Visit the instALERT Product Tour for more information.

SPEEDsentry:Sits quietly with the display off and still collects data and sends speeds to the instALERT. Visit the SPEEDsentry or SPEEDsentry Shield Product Tour for more details.

Trailer or Pole:The speedALERT configuration is just as easy to use on a pole as it is on a trailer.

Customizable: Different roads & situations require different text and display times. You design each screen to create exactly what you need.

Single or Multi-Screen: Sometimes a single screen is all you need; sometimes you need three. In special circumstances you may even need to scroll through all the stored messages.

Simple: Create and display a spontaneous message quickly or choose a message already designed.

Special Features: Specify each screen independently: to blink and how fast, to reverse or flash or to include custom graphics.

PDA Message

Speed-Dependent Message: Ranging from a blank screen when there is no need to communicate to a stern "pull over for the officer", you decide what message to deliver to vehicles traveling at different speeds.

Speed Limit and Your Speed: Select these preset messages to display either the speed limit you've identified for the proper time or the actual vehicle speed.

Targeted Messaging: Targeted messages are more effective, so deliver a message that is specifically relevant to the driver based on their speed.

Simultaneous, Multi-Purpose:Deliver an informational message to compliant vehicles. Deliver an appropriate traffic calming message to speeding vehicles.

PDA Message Group

One Page Summary:All the key performance data within the data file is presented on one screen.

Road Speed:The user-defined speed limit setting applies to the site where the data was collected.

85th Percentile:This is the speed below which 85% of the traffic is traveling.

Pace:The most popular 10 mph window that captures the highest volume of traffic.

Avg Speed:The average over the entire study.

PDA Home

Volume Analysis:Identify peak travel times and trends in addition to speed information.

Review the days you want: All days, a range of days or a specific day. You choose.

Adjust speed bins: Determine your speed windows or ignore speeds below the threshold you define.

Easy Export: Use Excel or any other spreadsheet program for more detailed charts and graphs to suit your needs.

Prioritize: See the days and times with the worst violations. Determine when and if a problem exists.

Identify individuals: Isolating individual speed events reveals a pattern allowing very targeted enforcement.

Review Settings: Different settings result in different behaviors. Review the settings history to ensure reports are based on the appropriate days.

Universal Mounting Brackets: The trailer accommodates any ATS sign easily. If your sign changes because your needs change, you don’t need to change your trailer!

See-through Construction: Open frame design minimally blocks line of sight.

Rust-proof Upper: Aluminum upper structure eliminates the risk of rust.

Solar Charging During Storage: The panels fold facing upward when the sign is lowered, allowing the batteries to remain fully charged during storage.

High Leverage Lift Arm: You need minimal force to lift our largest sign and a 60W solar assembly.

Removable Parts Storage: Lock your removeable trailer tongue and lift arm in the trailer. Prevent unauthorized moving without carrying pieces around to store separately.

Secure: Locking provisions are available for the battery box, jack stands, raise/lower pivot, wheel nuts* and axle* to prevent tampering (*optional).

Lightweight: Weighs a well-balanced 550 lbs, including a pair of batteries. Tow and set up easily by one person.

Multi-Axis leveling: Park where you have to so you can use the sign where you need to. Multiple pivot points allow you to swivel the sign (+-90), tilt (+-5%) and level (+-15%) for optimal viewing without moving the vehicle to an awkward angle.

Height to Sign (telescoping): The distance to the bottom of the sign is up to 68” from the hitch receiver. The additional distance to the ground will vary by vehicle.

Height to Sign (non-telescoping): The distance to the bottom of the sign is up to 40” from the hitch receiver. The additional distance to the ground will vary by vehicle.

Fits 1 ¼ or 2” Receivers: All of our hitch mounts include an adapter that will fit most vehicles in your fleet.

Multiple Sizes: Available in approximately 20W, 60W (shown) or 120W capacities to fit the power needs of your configuration and location.

Universal Bracket: The pole bracket can be mounted to nearly any pole, whether single, multiple, small, large round or square.

Flexible Orientation: Change the connection point and angle of the bracket to ensure that the panel takes advantage of optimum sunshine.

Standard AC Supply (not shown): Available for the SPEEDsentry and SPEEDsentry Shield, this supply mounts within the sign and is appropriate for clean commercial AC sources.

Medium Duty AC Supply: Recommended for the SPEEDsentry and Shield, where a municipal AC source is being tapped. Uses additional surge protection and an industrial AC supply.

Heavy Duty AC Supply: Required for the instALERT or wherever there is a very dirty power source. Uses additional surge protection, an isolation transformer and an industrial AC supply.
