We actively support the communities we serve through a number of sponsorships, which enable us to bring safety-enhancing traffic calming signs and education to the people – and communities – who need them most. Some of our recent sponsorship activity includes:
State law enforcement challenges. We are a key sponsor of challenges in CT, MA, TN, GA, VT, IL, NY, VA, FL and NJ, and donate a Shield speed display sign equipped with data analysis, violator strobe option and wireless PDA access to the winner from each state.
ATS-sponsored grant program. In 2010, we created a program that awards radar speed display signs to K-12 school districts. This year we chose two deserving school districts: Eustace TX, a community that has all its schools in one high-density location; and Lee County, FL, where “snowbird” arrival coincides with the school year. Applications for the winning districts were submitted by the Eustace and Fort Myers Police Departments.
National IACP sponsorship. We provide a complete instALERT folding variable messaging sign package to the national winner at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
NASRO sponsorship. We paid the registration fees for an administrator and a school resource officer whose budget restrictions would have prevented them from attending the national NASRO (National Association of School Resource Officers) Conference in 2009.
