Over the last decade, we’ve made tremendous advances in portable road sign technology. Engineering radar speed signs and variable message signs that are smarter, more portable and easier to maintain than ever before. Below are just a few of the “firsts” we’ve brought to the world of traffic control.
2010: first web-based traffic signs. We created the first universally connected line of traffic calming signs that let you manage speed displays, messaging and imaging via a single web-based interface.
2008: first ultra-portable speed display sign. We built the first radar speed limit sign that weighs less than 15lbs with a battery life that’s 50% longer than average.
2007: first cross-product communication. We engineered radar speed signs and variable message boards that can “talk” to each other and work in sync.
2006: first remote access traffic safety signs. Our web-hosted remote management and data retrieval tool for speed display signs raised the bar in traffic solutions.
2005: first changeable message sign with Bluetooth capabilities. We built Bluetooth-enabled variable message signs that can be programmed wirelessly from the safety of a vehicle and without a laptop.
2004: first folding changeable message sign. We engineered the first portable, folding variable message sign that can be mounted in a variety of ways: on a portable post, hitch mount in a receiver hitch or using a traditional trailer. This folding variable message sign broke new ground: because it weighs less than 43 lbs. and can fit in a police cruiser trunk, it is the first and only alternative to trailer-mounted variable message signs.
2003: first portable pole-mountable speed display sign. We created the first portable radar speed limit sign that can be mounted quickly, yet securely, to existing signposts for more flexible and economical mounting options.
